Welcome to New Story Students!

HEYYY!
My name is Jeremy and I serve as the pastor of our students here at New Story. Thanks for taking a minute to read this and learn what we’re about! In short, New Story Students exists to make more and better lifetime followers of Jesus. We are here for your students, to help them, and point them towards Jesus. I love this age group and my team and I will do everything in our power to make your students feel safe, cared for, and valued.
Our team values parents as the number one spiritual influence in their student’s life – this means that we love to partner with parents in many different ways. We aren’t interested in merely building a ministry here. We’re interested in helping YOU win. We look forward to meeting your family 🙂

WHEN // Our Meetings

We provide safe, engaging, and age-appropriate environments for students 7-12th grade, we meet on Wednesday evenings 6:30-8PM at New Story Church above the gym.

WHY // Our Purpose

We are here to make more and better lifetime followers of Jesus. We seek to glorify God by reaching students with the gospel and to assist families in their student’s spiritual growth and potential through relational discipleship.

HOW // Our Process

We believe that if we live out and implement each of the following Core Values in our lives and the culture of New Story Students, we will make more and better lifetime followers of Jesus:
  • Save people serve people (Service/Missions)
  • Growing people change (Discipleship)
  • Life is better connected (Community)
  • Found people find people (Evangelism)
  • You can’t out-give God (Generosity)

WHAT // Our Vision

In New Story Students we want to develop a culture of community. We believe that students probably won’t remember what you said, but they’ll remember how you made them feel, so we want to focus on environments over programs. We focus on small groups with leaders that cultivate community by showing up, being present, listening, and showing genuine interest. We believe that this will allow us the space to reach hundreds of teens here in Kansas City!
